The Mystery of The Thunder Knight of Kuward

Throughout the Stellarspace of the EverWar Universe sits the planet of Kuward. A planet known for its royal houses and consistent warfare against adversaries within and without the planet. Unlike the legacy of Arturus, the Once Ruling King during the Cavalier Civil War era of the EverWar Universe, the mystery surrounding the infamous Thunder Knight equals to Arturus’ great victories. The identity of the Thunder Knight continues to be a mystery throughout the eras.

“There is only one who heals those who desire it.” - Yabel Serkelrod

Until the War of Helio era when Yabel Serkelrod, a Knight of the Covenant traveled to Kuward in search of the legendary Kuwardian Fountain of Healing. Seeking to destroy it under the direction of his elders, Yabel arrived on Kuward and came into conflict with the Thunder Knight, who proclaimed himself the protector of the Fountain. The two battled with Yabel being the victor. From there, Yabel followed the wounded Thunder Knight to a castle where the Knight had vanished, leaving Yabel wandering until he’s met by Ashona, the Woman of the Castle and her handmaiden Ila. While speaking with them, the Thunder Knight returns to duel Yabel, only to his defeat by decapitation.

As time passed, no word coming from Yabel to his elders or fellow brethren, the other Knights travel to Kuward in search of their brother, only to find themselves facing the Thunder Knight at the Fountain. Defeating the Knights with ease, Rayen Grake stepped forward to face the Knight, defeating him in a great battle, only to see the Thunder Knight they were facing was Yabel himself. The mystery of this strange case goes back to the words Ashona told Yabel, an ancient legend: Whomever kills the Thunder Knight while in search of the Fountain would become the successor to the armor. With Yabel defeating the Knight, he had no other option but to become the next Thunder Knight.

The full story is detailed in the novella, Yabel, The Knight of the Salvation. Available within the Events of the War of Helio collection.
